The minor buffs to the sorcerer will change nothing. The latest patch is a bad joke in my opinion. But all those build diversity is obsolete in the end.įor all other characters, there are multiple builds that are all viable in the endgame…but the sorcerer lacks build diversity. Well, what is the use of the skill tree, with all those possibilities to create your own build, when only one single build is playable later on? Blizzard says that the skill tree mechanics give players the opportunity to create their own play style. I read a lot in forums and the overall opinion is that Ice shards is the build to go in higher levels (mid- to endgame), because it is more or less the only viable build. Maybe someone can post an efficient Chaing lightning build? And I can imagine on higher WT being in close combat seems not to be the best idea as a sorcerer. You are more or less permanently in melee combat, being constantly busy collecting those CE balls. However, somehow this playstyle feels cumbersome. Then, the damage output of chain lightning (and overall) gets ridiculous…Without applying vulnerability, clearing takes a very long time…Ĭurrently, I m Lvl 51 and I modified my build towards Chaing Lighning in combination with crackling energy (and overflowing energy). This worked pretty well, with very fast mob clearing…well until approx. I play a Chain Lightning build (mainly because it is fun to play), using Frost Nova (to apply vulnerability), Ice Armor, Teleport (both for defensive), Arc Lash and Unstable Currents (using Vyr´s Mastery). The sorcerer needs a complete overhaul in my opinion.
